DOE Family Update
If your child is currently learning remotely every day, they have one final opportunity to opt in to learning in person in the school building at least part of the week. The deadline to submit your request to transition to blended learning for the rest of this school year has been extended to Friday, April 9. How to opt-in to blended learning:
Online: visit the Learning Preference Survey at nycenet.edu/surveys/learningpreference to select blended learning for your child.
By phone: Call 311 to submit your learning preference change.
Here’s how it works.
We’re committed to helping 10 million eligible households over the next 5 years. Eligible families are those who don’t have an internet connection and are enrolled in the National School Lunch program. If selected, the family will receive 100GB of mobile data per year and a FREE mobile hotspot, plus the opportunity to purchase devices at a low cost.

The DOE has created student accounts for every single New York City public school student, including 3K and Pre-K students.
The account gives your student access to TeachHub, which is how students access:
iLearnNYC, the Summer School 2020 online learning platform
Student report cards (available in the Student Documents icon)
Multiple educational applications
G Suite, Microsoft O365, and Zoom (using secure central accounts)
